Smashed the Montane Spine Race ultramarathon record by 12 hours beating all other competitors, male and female, WHILST ALSO stopping at aid stations on the way to express milk for her baby.
Who was it that said women were the weaker sex?
83 hours 12 minutes and 23 seconds was the time taken for British ultra runner Jasmin Paris to run the 268-mile Montane Spine Race. The 35-year-old smashed the ultramarathon’s previous record by 12 hours, becoming the first woman to win the race outright. Paris described the race as “really tough” and admitted to having hallucinations as she entered the final stretch – but still managed to stop at aid stations along the course to express breast milk for her 14-month old baby, Rowan.
