Covid-19 has put a stop to many things this year. But today let us value International Women’s Day, the worldwide event that celebrates women’s achievements - from the political to the economic, and the social - while calling for gender equality. This day has been celebrated since the early 1900s, and is now recognised each year on March 8.
There have been and are so many inspirational female voices. Here are just a few for you to enjoy today:
"No one can make you feel inferior without your consent." Eleanor Roosevelt
"There is no limit to what we, as women, can accomplish." Michelle Obama
"The most courageous act is to think for yourself. Aloud." Coco Chanel
"Every woman's success should be an inspiration to another. We're strongest when we cheer each other on." Serena Williams
G.D.Andersen Feminism isn’t about making women strong. Women are already strong. It’s about changing the way the world perceives that strength.
